I use Air Display on my 2nd Gen 12.9 Pro. It connects by running a cable from my Mac to the iPad, opening the Air Display 3 on the iPad and launching Air Display Host software from the Mac. I don’t have a reason to run it over wifi because I use it as I edit my photos with Lightroom, Affinity Photo, Photoshop, and other software. If you plan on using it over WiFi make sure coverage in your home is solid and fast. I wouldn’t recommend trying to use it having one router in a two story house and not expecting any latency to happen. The Host software is a free download and the app runs $9.99.
In spite what you might see in the reviews, I’ll recommend it to anyone. It’s been a solid product for me.
