I have a 3D printer model UNI-PRINT-3D from thecooltool.com which came along with the Sandy Box Lin-EMB.
Sandy Box has built in a machine-client application for communication with the printer. The communication looks ok. I can move the head of the printer by clicking on buttons on the machine-face screen. However, when I try to move the printing head to touch the bed surface it goes up until 1mm above and after that clicking buttons to move head down have no effect. The other problem is that when I upload and run g-code program it complains about 'A' command saying "Bad character 'a' is used". Can anyone help, please? here are the first few lines of the g-code program: ; generated by Slic3r 1.2.9 on 2016-11-09 at 19:11:08 ; external perimeters extrusion width = 0.40mm ; perimeters extrusion width = 0.48mm ; infill extrusion width = 0.48mm ; solid infill extrusion width = 0.48mm ; top infill extrusion width = 0.48mm M107 M190 P65 ; set bed temperature M104 P205 ; set temperature G28 ; home all axes G1 Z5 F5000 ; lift nozzle M109 P205 ; wait for temperature to be reached G21 ; set units to millimeters G90 ; use absolute coordinates G92 A0 G1 Z0.400 F7800.000 Vitalije -- website: http://www.machinekit.io blog: http://blog.machinekit.io github: https://github.com/machinekit --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Machinekit" group.
