Okay, I am going out on a limb here, I take it someone had to go to court in order to be allowed to go to their prom because they were gay? HMMMMM interesting!!! I believe there was a case down here in the US about that a few years ago.. or not so much as a case but a story about it anyhow. I don't remember it causing any problems with anyone at the school..I have friends, both male and female who are gay. Some have children, some don't. I cherish those friendships as much as I would cherish any other friendship. We learn so much from each other, from recipes to fashion to decorating to woodworking..etc. Those with children are loving, dependable and teach their children right from wrong, just like we were taught. I am given a different perspective on life as they see it through their eyes, not right, not wrong, just different.
I also have some friends who are deathly afraid of guns, wouldn't go anywhere near them, and then I have friends who at the other end of the spectrum (my husband included..hahhaha) who love collecting guns, building them, being SWAT guys/girls, etc. I am finding that working in my line of business, life is not so black and white. There is one side of the story, there is the other side of the story and somewhere in between lies the truth.. not so much is different in life. Abortion (to bring up another hot topic..sorry), a teenage girl does the "right" thing and gives her newborn up for adoption.. 3 weeks later my medics respond to the foster home for a baby who is lethargic, sallow..etc.. we find out at the childrens hospital, the baby is sallow in color from being beaten to an inch of her death. Every bone is broken, skull fractures, bruising causes the "jaundice" affect.. Now that baby will go through life being on medication for the rest of her life, be I think what life is teaching us now, is that we need to live life the way it makes us happy, living life to the fullest as we see fit, because it can be shortened. (September 11th taught us that). I am not saying I necessarily agree with what people choose, but I can understand and accept them for who they are. I mean isn't that what I learned in my catholic upbringing and religion classes.. We are all God's children," Love one another as I have loved you " and treat everyone as you would want to be treated? A simple question, where do hermaphrodites fit in the basic law of nature?
