Thanks for the suggestions but I still can't get it to work.

When I try to do this and click on the appleshare icon nothing happens. If

I can do this.

I was wondering if the software that came with OS 7.1 or 7.5.5 was
sufficient. I have now linked the SE/30 to a performa 630. The fact that it
doesn't work now either makes me think I have not set the software
correctly in some way.
