I think your life will be *much easer* if you just give all your 
users a email address supplied by your ISP and leave it at that.

When you get your cable modem, you can plug it into a 
Cable/DSL/Router (like the 8 port Linksys BEFSR81; about $130.00 mail 
order) and then run ethernet to each PC/Mac.  Plug in a network card 
and you are done.


Let your ISP handle all the differnt email addresses.
