Hi Trent,

We just went through the same issue - we used mac minis with touchscreens for an interactive flash show in a museum. Problem was that they wanted to lock the minis away from prying hands and still allow power button access.
The PoE switches were considered too expensive.

We almost did this:
How to Intall a Remote Power Button on your Mac Mini - MP3Car.com

But in the end rigged up a photographers remote switch; very low-fi but worked a treat. (NB not a wireless or powered switch, just the old school type that pushes a cable through a sheath).

Good luck,

Ada,.

Hi,

We are putting Mac Mini's into lecture theatres and the power switch is not really accessible. Does anyone know of any remote, or usb power on/off solutions for Mac?
