Yes, I caught that...

I downloaded a terrible iPad telnet client and *was* able to send a message
to my mac book pro by spoofing the smtp mail protocol so I suspect something
wonky is going on in the iPad email program.

I wonder if smtp/sendmail or whatever is running on the iPad...
