Yes, that is a very good point. If the price of a Mac mini is practically the same as an iMac then the point is somewhat mute (except for the fact it's not very green to waste all these resources when one part fails - all too common in our society these days though). This is also probably part of the devious plan ;-) Because I bet you (or I) wouldn't stop with the low-end iMac. The iMac also comes with keyboard and mouse but still doesn't have a customisable / upgradeable graphics card (cf Cube).
