Yes.

That said, a lot of us these days seem to "live" on MacBook (Pro)s and isn't 
the mini just a low-end MacBook (Pro).  In fact, buying Mac mini a year or so 
after my MacBook Pro, the mini has a faster CPU, the same memory (standard on 
mini maxed on my MBP), and would have a larger drive (if I hadn't upgraded the 
drive in my MBP).  I don't hear too many people complaining about their MBPs.
