My room is so quiet I can hear the ticking noise the clock makes every second.

There is a very quiet sound like that, but it is easily drowned out by the 
sound of the hard drives seeking, the ticking of the clock, or a stiff breeze 
outside.

No, agreed. It's not completely quiet. I should not have said 'dead silent' but 
it's pretty darn close.

I just love having a machine with 6TB of drive space attached (7 when I turn on 
the external case)
