'No more visual cues' is a bit melodramatic. The visual cues are
still there. They're just more subtle with everything the same
color. On the whole, I much prefer subtlety to an in-your-face
UI. Personally, I rely more on the text labels and hierarchical
indents anyway, whether the icons are color or gray, so the loss
of color doesn't bother me at all and I barely noticed it before
I saw this thread. I do understand that some people might prefer
color icons, but I can't see the loss of color as anything close
to the catastrophe that it's been portrayed as in this thread.
