While, I'm color-deficient, I appreciated the color cues in iTunes 9 --

BTW: I do like the pro interfaces -- 
working in Logic Studio at the moment --
and while it's overall rather gray ... buttons still have color to help the eye 
-
and you have options to customize color of content AND some controls
