EVERYBODY multitasks. Few run apps side by side, or if they do it's because some of their apps open in smaller windows than others. iPhone users have been multitasking from day 1. In Safari? Here a beep? It's because Mail downloaded a new message. What people want is important stuff to run in the background and pop to the foreground as need be. To a certain extent, I work that way as a consumer. If I'm in Mail, it's full screen. If I'm in Aperture, it's full screen. When I WORK, I'm using windows more often, such as positioning a terminal window or two and a text editor window so I can see all at the same time, and having Mail and a web browser on work related tasks in another monitor. When I go home, I shut that part of my brain down, and focus on a single task. They have one folder called My Documents on Windows, or Documents on Mac, and it's HUGE. Heck, most people don't even name files. I've seen so many files named Untitled (1), Untitled (2), etc. I had to delete the rest of your message. Way to much useful information, and way to little arguing for this list, I figured nobody would be happy if I continued. :)
