I've definitely installed Leopard multiple times, and possibly Snow Leopard, from a FireWire drive without having to burn a disc. How did you get the installer on the portable drive? It doesn't work to do a Finder copy. I *think* it didn't even work to use SuperDuper to make a clone. I had to use Disk Utility to "back up" the Snow Leopard dmg to a partition on the drive. --Andy _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
