Why? If one's going to web publish or just e-publish, why stick with the same
dead tree format that has served us passably well for the last several hundred
years? Look at something like Inkling on the iPad as a demonstration of what
can be accomplished by embracing modern publishing.
Personally, I recommend doing all of one's writing in a plain text editor as it
forces one to concentrate on the content of one's writing rather than worry
about how it looks. And when the content is finished then focus on
presentation. Perhaps this is the meaning of Scott's admonishment.
