Maybe not but are these the target audience Apple really cares about?   Apple 
seems to be more focused on the market segment that will have broadband of some 
sort.  I don't doubt the merit of what you are saying but I don't think Apple 
cares all that much.  There is a vision they have and they will be the first to 
go there, just like they did with stuff like floppies, built in wi-fi, and usb 
for example.
