While it is somewhat off-topic, since the prices you will find for a
single unit give little indication of bulk prices, you can find USB flash
drives in similar form factors to the ones Apple has shipped for recovery
media. Amazon even has a page for them:

I have had a SuperTalent drive (not quite the one they have now) in my
wallet for a few years now and it has come in handy a number of time. If I
