        Any idea *why* that is?  I thought the whole thing that made “1984 not 
like 1984” in the first place was the idea of the GUI..  The has *2* dimensions 
instead of (more or less) one for the command-line interfaces that came before 
it (more-or-less).  This also seems odd given that Apple also apparently moving 
toward using a track-*pad* as a major input source - the major change about 
gestures (as opposed to a mouse) being that they make use of the relative 
positions of more than one finger in a plane (and time).
