That works and is a great help. I see now that the same result can be achieved by just clicking on the Dock icon (primary click) and hitting Command-Q. Still I think it would be nice if their was an option to "Quit" as well as "Force Quit" from Dock menu when an application is not responding. I might suggest it to Apple.
