I run mostly Safari on my 10.7.3 16GB Mac Pro Early 2008 2 x 3ghz (8 core). I
have a lot of windows and tons and tons of tabs. I am not very good at
cleaning up after myself. I rarely restart Safari. Sometimes weeks between
restarts. It usually only gets restarted when I restart the machine. It
(Safari and associated processes) uses a gig or two and is usually well
behaved CPU wise.

My only issues are an NVidia GL error that happens to crash the plugin and/or
webprocess processes which triggers the aforementioned "reload all windows"
type dialog box. It is a known bug with some NVidia cards it seems (I have
the Quadro FX 5600) and Apple has not fixed it for several dot releases (it was
a Lion issue and was in the pre release version of Lion from what I can gather
from others who have it and it is still there. I reported it on Radar and it
was closed as a duplicate. I ask about its status every once in a while and
they basically seem to not be working on it. Very frustrating as it also
sometimes happens in iPhoto and elsewhere. )

And an issue with Flash. Flash stuff just won't run in my Safari. I have the
latest Flash installed and it works fine in Chrome and Firefox. But I cannot
get any site that uses Flash to display Flash content. In fact, on youtube, I
also cannot get HTML5 videos (HTML5 perpetual beta turned on) to run most of
the time, though sometimes they do.

I run Firefox for one website that requires Firefox or IE and Chrome for all
the ones I cannot run Safari with due to the above bug I mentioned. But I run
Safari for most things and it works rather well memory and CPU wise.

I am currently at 10.7.3 and 5.1.3 Safari.

I also have had no issues on my Macbook with 10.7.x and Safari 5 as well (and
don't have my two issues above on the Macbook)
