My iCloud Account is an older account the was migrated to iCloud from Mobile me (and from iTools before that), so my username is just 'username', but '[email protected]' is the right address for new icloud accounts. > I did this. Exactly. And the server rejected my password. You have to have, in the advanced tab of the account, "Use SSL" checked. It is not enough to simply specify port 993. Authentication should be set to "Apple Token" if available and Password otherwise. <http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44770560/Mail_advanced.PNG> > I tried using <username>@me.com, <username>@mac.com and just <username> and > none worked. > > I also noticed that in my normal Mail.app with iCloud turned on, the server > was listed as p99-imap.mail.me.com, so I tried that with all three usernames > above. The pxx-imap prefix will be set automatically, without you doing anything. you should enter imap.mail.apple.com > No luck. I have heard that getting iCloud working with 10.6 and earlier is troublesome for some people. It worked for me, though I can't check now since that (10.5) machine died. -- I WILL NOT EXPOSE THE IGNORANCE OF THE FACULTY Bart chalkboard Ep. 8F15 _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
