Hi:

I know I'm late moving to iCloud, but i still have ancient iMacs that won't run
10.7, so I've been holding out….until now.

The issue I am having is this: I want to get my iCloud mail on my older (10.6)
Mail client and maybe another non-Mac mail client. Apple's docs
(http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864) say that as long as your client supports
IMAP and SSL it should work. They specify the incoming server as
imap.mail.me.com and say to use my @me.com full address as the user name and my
iCloud password, and port 993.

I did this. Exactly. And the server rejected my password.

I tried using <username>@me.com, <username>@mac.com and just <username> and
none worked.

I also noticed that in my normal Mail.app with iCloud turned on, the server was
listed as p99-imap.mail.me.com, so I tried that with all three usernames above.

I made sure that my password was accurate with no caps lock or any other silly
mistakes.

No luck.

I tried this with Apple Mail.app by setting up an "other" IMAP account, I tried
it on my iPad, and I tried it using Thunderbird. All with the same results.

Has anyone gotten this to work? If you can share how I would very much
appreciate it!

Thanks,
