Hi, Does anyone know whether the time between battery charges would be significantly longer if I powered off my iPad between uses rather than simply putting it to sleep? I have the same question regarding my iPod Touch and my MacBook Pro, though I assume the answer is the same.
I usually put my MacBook Pro to sleep when I'm not using it, unless I know I won't use it for several weeks. I just got an iPod Touch and an iPad, and I was wondering if I should continue the same behavior with those. Or would the battery last longer between charges if I actually powered these units off between uses? Also, does repeated power cycling take a toll on the hardware in any way, or is the only downside that it takes longer to power on than to wake from sleep?
