So I guess the bottom line is that I can charge my iPad as often as I like, such as every night, and it won't affect the number of complete charge/discharge cycles. In my case, at least so far, I have not been using the iPad very much, so it would be a nuisance to charge it every night. Hopefully there is no problem with only charging it every few days, or even just once a week, if I'm only using 5-10% of the charge per day.
