My iMac takes about an hour to prepare, backup and cleanup. This happens every hour. Oh - add spotlight indexing to that.
iE: my internal drive is thrashing ALL the time leaving me a very unresponsive machine. I love Time Machine. I like having hourly backups. But, not having an SSD in my iMac is making it unbearable. What do people think of the new fusion system? or, is it better to go all out with as much SSD as possible? My 4 year old MBPro with an SSD I installed from OWC/MacSales has no problems. K
