I bought a Brother MFC-J485DW a while back for my wife to use and it works quite well. Only one paper tray though and I haven’t tried printing on photo paper. It connects by wifi, no ethernet, but that didn’t end up being a problem for me. I’ve used the flatbed scanner via wifi and it worked well enough I couldn’t tell that I wasn’t connected directly to it. It does have USB but I’ve never used it. Works fine with aftermarket cartridges too. I bought a big pack of them on Amazon (forget the brand) for dirt cheap and they’ve worked identically to OEM ones. It does have a document feeder that works well the few times I used it. I think the only time I tried that was to fax a big stack of papers to the bank when we refinanced our home. The flatbed scans great and also makes photocopies. Granted that’s not terribly common anymore but worked fine to make copies of our passports before we took a cruise to Mexico last summer. -Andy _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
