Thanks for this tip. Just tried it and it works on this 2018 Mini. You’re right about the faffing around without the chimes. In the end I gave up trying to reset the NVRAM with the wireless keyboard and dug out the old wired one I keep for such occasions.
Resetting the NVRAM has worked for one cycle and the machine switches on in the morning but we’ll have to see if it sticks. Thanks for the help.
