I just upgraded my MacPro to Bug Sur (sic) and am regretting it bigly. It looks
like Apple's philosophy has morphed from "Think Different" to "Because
Change"... So many things are damaged, broken, or don't work right.

Fer instance... how does one access one's iPhone in Big Sur now that iTunes is
gone? When I plug in my iPhone I get a frustratingly unuseful taunt that says:
"This iPhone is in use by another user on this Mac."

So basically: "We're not gonna tell you who we think that other user is or give
you any way to find that out who that other user is or how you can make things
right again. We're just gonna make things not work until you do things Our Way."

Sigh.

According to the web, the iPhone should magically show up under the "Locations"
header in the Finder sidebar. Except it doesn't. I've never synced my iPhone
from another account, and the "killall AMPDevicesAgent" terminal command
suggested on the web only gives: "No matching processes belonging to you were
found."

I am forced to conclude that Apple once again broke what wasn't broke before.

Sigh.

Any ideas?
