Okay, I was able to circumvent the iPhone/Finder issue. I found a website that shows you how to reinstall iTunes on Big Sur! It works! Here's hoping that Monterey resolves the underlying issue and doesn't break even more stuff...
Now onto another Bug Sur (sic) problem: I can print to but no longer scan from any of my (HP/Canon) All-in-one print/copy/scan printers! The OEM software hangs on Big Sur, and apps like Preview and Image Capture time out and claim there was a "connection failure with the device". In my google search frenzy I noticed there is an app called VueScan that purports to overcome any/all issues with scanning on macOS. Before I plunk down $20 on it, has anyone used it? Is there another solution? -Carl > On Jun 26, 2021, at 11:09 AM, Carl Hoefs <newsli...@autonomy.caltech.edu> > wrote: > > > >> On Jun 26, 2021, at 11:05 AM, David Schwartz <da...@yesdavid.com> wrote: >> >> On Jun 26, 2021, at 10:53 AM, Carl Hoefs <newsli...@autonomy.caltech.edu> >> wrote: >>> >>> I've never synced my iPhone from another account >> >> _Is_ there another account logged in? >> _______________________________________________ > > No, I don't have any other user accounts. > > 11:06 up 0 days, 06:42, 7 users, load averages: 144.43 73.41 92.82 > USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT > carl console - 26Jun21 1day - > carl s000 - 26Jun21 1day -zsh ?? /bin/zsh > > carl s001 - 26Jun21 1day -zsh ?? /bin/zsh > > carl s002 - 10:18 - w > carl s003 - 26Jun21 1day -zsh FBu ?? /bin/zsh > > carl s005 - 26Jun21 1day -zsh FBu ?? /bin/zsh > > > -Carl > > > _______________________________________________ > MacOSX-talk mailing list > MacOSX-talk@omnigroup.com > https://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list MacOSX-talk@omnigroup.com https://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
