Yo,
I just noticed that Sarathy has uploaded 5.6.1 to CPAN. I downloaded it
and ran through a quick configuration. Unfortunately, when I do
'sh Configure -de' (as directed in the INSTALL file) no Makefile is
produced, even though no errors are indicated. The directory is
writable, so it doesn't look like a permissions problem.
Tomorrow I'll try other ways of running Configure (maybe adding some of
the flags I see in the existing 'perl -V'). Perhaps someone will beat
me to it.
