I guess that's part of the price for being able to use fonts from Classic
under Mac OS X.
The consensus seems to be that you shouldn't try to install Mac OS X on a
UFS volume. And the Installer on the Mac OS X CD seems to agree.
You might want a UFS volume to mess about with...particularly considering
that, seemingly, the dump/restore pair is not happy with HFS+. I have
another HFS+ volume on which I keep my "important" data...that is backed up
from Retrospect on my other machine, but the volume with Classic and Mac OS
X isn't. Dantz should have at least the beginnings of a Mac OS X client
thing for Retrospect soon...I'm not sure that I back up with beginnings.
