I have the first printing from 1991 version - does this version have a name??? So that when I mention it, I can use the culturally accepted term..... This remains the dog eared, coffee stained, fast thumber - in lieu of a 'cheat sheet'.... The 3rd Edition is Excellent for the more complex parts of perl - but suffers, IMMHO, from needing the smaller edition for the entree... That being said - I have some 'basically hardware guys' who are wandering into the MacOSX - and perl/cgi/apache side of it all and would like to have a reasonably good list of documentation that they should have on their shelves. Lou's list of books from his URL seemed a good start - thought I would collect others. ciao drieux ---
