Hi,
There is an excellent book called "MacPerl: Power and Ease"
(http://www.macperl.org/ptf_book/) which addresses Perl in general, but also
those topics that relate to the Mac specifically.
Also, any beginners Perl book will get you started with the language in
general, I would take a look at some of the Oreilly books (www.oreilly.com),
they have done me well.
These lists are a great place to hang around and just read peoples posts...
full of excellent tips.
