to drop support of the 68k Macs and the earlier MacOS versions.

Due to great work of you and all the others, the present version is extremely
powerful and, as long as it is available in the archives, it will do a fine job
on a modest platform.

I had to face the music some time ago and abandon the Apple II for more modern
hardware and OS.  Backwards compatability is nice, but the language should not
be negatively effected to achieve it.
