If I could repeat it, I would like to look into it with the 
(PowerPC-) debugger, that's what I meant with "track down". I guess 
it is an Apple Event issue.

Could you please try to explain what happens and/or what you are 
doing, as precise as possible? For me, it only seems to happen 
(occasionally, as I said) when I launch MacPerl the very first time 
after switching on my Mac or after a restart. I am using Mac OS 8.6, 
too. IIRC, Scott also used 8.6. But Richard uses Mac OS 9.0 and 9.2.

Hmm ..., I don't know what else to do or test. Any ideas, anybody else??
