You mean while the cursor is spinning? I didn't try to create a new
window, but did note that clicking on any menu items reveals all the
usual submenu items as available. If, for example, I select text in the
script that was opened, then the "cut" edit menu is available. So, the
spinning cursor does not prevent text selection, though everything is
very slow. I didn't try actually cutting anything.
