Hi John, 

The problem with these kind of promos is that you start spreading old versions 
of your application which will inevitably lead to more support effort and 
unhappy customers. Customers who know that there is a better, more shiny 
version of the app available feel like they got an inferior product (even 
though it was free and works fine). That's the reason 'Pro' versions of apps 
sell so well ;-).
