Hello all,

I'm trying to install Debian Linux on a Macbook Pro. Thanks to the wiki,
and the particular page:

    http://www.mactel-linux.org/wiki/Triple_Booting#Debian

this was done pretty easly for installing the base system.

Now, I'm trying to have X11 working on it, and not only the console.
What I have do in this way is:

  - build the 2.6.17.8 stock kernel, with the mactel-linux patches from
    svn,
  - download the ATI fglrx driver, build and install it, like described
    in http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=198453

Unfortunately, I always have the same error messages:

    (EE) fglrx(0): No V_BIOS found

I have see that this is the problem when we don't use Bootcamp. But I'm
using bootcamp...

What I'm missing ? Is that because I have rERIt (the last version 0.7)
installed ?

Note also that I don't have a working X, even without the fglrx driver.
(I also would be happy without 3D acceleration for a starting point...)

Thanks a lot for your help.

        Olivier
