Hi Junichi, > Do these help you ? > http://wiki.debian.org/MacBookPro > http://wiki.debian.org/MacBook
Perfect, thanks. I have now X11 and Debian running. :-) (just with fglrx, not with synaptics). What is missing in the page is more information on how to build our own kernel, with the specified patches. All the things that I have try has result in a problem at boot. Most of the time, the boot seems ok, but the screen is scrambled, and I can't read anything. What I have do is: - get the stock kernel 2.6.17.8 - get and apply all the patches from the svn - get the config from the 2.6.17-2-686 kernel of the debian Installer etch beta 3. I suspect that some of the patches must not be applyed for Macbook Pro, but I don't know which. So, what is the better way to build a correct kernel for a Macbook Pro ? Getting from the stock kernel, and apply some patches ? Getting sources from Debian ? Also, what is missing is a sample config file for compiling the kernel for the Macbook Pro (maybe attaching a .config in the wiki.debian.org/MacBookPro will be great). Thanks for your help.
