Hi, I was wondering if anyone had luck in booting up on an XServe. I've struggled with my set up for some time, and although I can get rEFIt in the bootloader stage I can't boot any kernels. The result is always the same: a seemingly frozen console screen. No scrolling messages, the screen doesn't clear. This is from the EFI shell provided by rEFIt and I've tried a vanilla elilo from the project's page as well as the one on the Mactel svn; no luck with either.
It seems something is changing with the boot process however as it takes >4 seconds of holding the power button to turn the machine off once I've initiated the boot process, suggesting that perhaps ACPI or something is starting..
