They didn't mention anything in the presentation and you would have to 
be part of the developer program to get your hands on the actual API 
documentation to hunt for VO. If you were in the dev program then you 
probably would have NDA restrictions keeping you from sharing what is in 
there. That said, I still wonder if the iPhone is simply underpowered to 
do TTS? Sure it seems snappy but maybe that's because it has video and 
audio co-processors offloading the work for twirling objects and mp3 or 
video stream decoding. The actual processor and RAM footpring might not 
be up to the task. This could explain the great lengths used to avoid 
multiple concurrent apps and the whole push notification system. What if 
they really only had 128MB to work with?
