Ah, got it.  Oddly enough, this was the first thing I ever learned how  
to do on a Mac.  I'm a professor of Spanish, and had to give my  
students info on how to produce diacritics on their computers.  So,  
though I'd never used a Mac, I had found a set of instructions for  
this online, which I distributed to my students.
