I just mean you can touch the screen somewhere near the edit field towards the 
bottom of the screen. Double tapping there then lets you write in the edit 
field.
I just don't agree it's that unacceptable in the general scheme of things. 
Apple fixed a lot in the latest 7.1 release, including elimination of the focus 
issues when using the on screen keyboard.
