I'm in the same boat Jim, but I realize that there's going to be a learning 
curve with Pages. Until I get up to speed, I'm going to be spending a lot of 
time figuring out the little things. Nick's suggestion is a classic workaround 
that I've come to accept more and more. I'm not going to use any computer as it 
was intended to be used - that way being visually. So, I accept those 
impossible situations and their plausible workarounds.

BTW: this is why I keep Windows/Office around. In a pinch, I can always go back 
to what I knew best.
