I'd also like to add that, unless your setup is way different from mine, 
full-screen mode isn't required at all. Just open a document, and you should 
land right on the layout area, inside of which is all the text. In other words, 
open the document, interact twice, and you're there. At least, that is how it 
works on two Macs I've tried.
