Exactly. :) The only time you'll still need the old one is for logging in, 
which is indeed very annoying. It's weird to sign into your iCloud account 
using a Gmail address (username) just to access iCloud mail. Until Apple lets 
you merge Apple IDs, though, we're all kind of stuck.
