Not sure how this discussion moved under this subject, because "Burned"
was a separate post, and I'd really like to hear whether anyone else has
had similar experiences upgrading to Yosemite.

In any case, Georgina is correct. It's trivial from a CLI, as long as
you know where to put things.

There is one more command, though, namely:

chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Colloquy.app
