I’m using Classic view with El Capitán. I’ve got rid of the Preview pane and all my accounts are POP3. I’m not having any issues with Mail. As for sighted people preferring the modern view, my sighted husband certainly does not. However, I’m getting old and stuck in my ways, so don’t take any notice of me.
