I got an airport router not too long ago, works well. The main advantage is 
that it's very easy to set up and configure. Granted, you could get routers 
from other brands at the same price with more features, but if it's mainly 
performance you want, the airport will work well. It does not have a web 
interface the way other routers do, and some people think this is a 
disadvantage, and I agree somewhat, but I have no regrets about getting it.
