Hello, I think savitar hasnt been updated in ages. I tried it too and contacted 
the author to ask about sl updates and vo support but never got a reply. The 
only mudclient that someone is still actively developing and that person does 
have an interest in making it more accessible is jamochamud.
You can download it from www.jamochamud.org use the java webstart.
It is freeware, please send feedback to the author, i think the only thing 
(besides ocr and drivers for my hp, lol) that is missing to make my mac 
experience truely enjoyable is games. I havent really got zoom (the if 
interpreter) to work with previously saved games yet. If someone has pelase let 
me know.
